What is my commission for HotelRewards.com reservations?
We pay 10% commission on the base rate of all consumed bookings made online and 5% commission on the base rate of all consumed bookings made offline (for example, by phone).
Payment is mailed the month following client's check out.

What are the benefits of booking through HotelRewards.com?
Benefits include: guaranteed hotel commissions paid in US dollars, guaranteed lowest hotel rates so you can compete with the internet and assure your clients that you have obtained the best price for them, simple booking process, instant confirmations, no set-up costs, and last minute room availability.

When will I get my commission?
We pay commissions monthly, the month following your client's check-out date. For example, if you booked in March for travel April 15-20, your commission will be paid in May. Checks are mailed at the end of the month.

How are commissions paid?
We send a check to the address you provided when you signed up with HotelRewards. To modify or change that address, sign in to HotelRewards and go to "My Account". Then click "My Details". Once a check has been sent, it will be recorded in "My PAID commission History". Please note that until a check has been sent, it will not show up in "My PAID Commission History".

How can I confirm I will get paid commission on a booking?
If you are signed in to HotelRewards.com and make a booking online, you will receive 10% commission for the booking. Also, you will receive a confirmation e-mail for the booking that is also your confirmation that you will be paid commission.

How can I confirm or update my personal information?
To confirm or update your name, e-mail address, mailing address, who you would like your checks made out to, or any other personal information, please sign in to HotelRewards.com, click "My Account" in the upper right corner and then "My Details" and make any changes to your information.

Do you offer any special travel agent rates or other discounts?
No. The rates available on HotelRewards.com are already special internet rates. We do not offer any further discounts.

I'm a travel agent outside of the United States, can I still use HotelRewards.com?
Yes! Any travel agent can register and book on HotelRewards.com. When signing up, in the "State" drop-down menu, select the top option of "International" and then fill in your country. Your commission checks will be mailed to you at the address you provide. Please note your checks may take a little longer to reach you.

How do I reserve a hotel room? Once you have signed up to book on HotelRewards, here's how to book a hotel:
1. Choose the city where you need a hotel

2. Enter the dates for your client's stay

3. Click the "Search Available Hotels" button to view available properties

4. Either review hotel descriptions by clicking "Hotel Information", begin the reservation process by clicking "Book Now"

5. Select a hotel and you will be taken to a "Secure Reservation Request" form

6. Review the reservation information

7. In the guest information section, enter YOUR e-mail address (so you will receive the confirmation e-mail) but your client's name, address and billing information

8. Enter the charge/credit card information and your reservation will be booked immediately

9. Check your e-mail for a confirmation e-mail. This is also your confirmation that you will be paid 10% commission on the booking even though commission details are not included in the e-mail.

How do I know my reservation is confirmed?
You will receive an instant confirmation number on most reservations that you can print out. We will also send you a confirmation e-mail after you complete your reservation that will include the dates of your reservation and the total cost.

Can I book groups on HotelRewards?
Yes! When searching for a hotel and asked for "Number of Rooms & Guests", select 9+ and click "search". You will automatically be taken to a special form for booking groups. Fill in the requested information and someone will contact you. Or you can call 1-800-301-8485 and give them your discount code. If booking by phone be sure your discount code (NOT your IATA number or travel agency name) is recorded.

What if I can't find the hotel I'm looking for on HotelRewards.com?
All of our inventory is available on HotelRewards.com. If the hotel you are looking for does not come up when you search it may be sold out for those dates, if your travel is flexible, please try alternative dates. Or if the hotel may not be available on HotelRewards, please consider selecting another hotel in the same location.

Can I book by telephone instead of online?
Yes, but please be advised that you will only receive 5% commission if you book by phone. We do not recommend booking by phone. HotelRewards.com is designed for booking hotels online. To book by phone, you will be calling Hotels.com directly and need to give your HotelReward's discount code in order to have your reservation credited to your HotelRewards.com account (which is done automatically when you book online).

To book by phone, you must have an account with www.HotelRewards.com and have your unique ID number, called your discount code. This code is used to identify you with HotelRewards so we can track your bookings and send you commissions. This is done automatically when you book online. To book by telephone, call 1-800-780-5733 and identify yourself with your discount code only. DO NOT GIVE your ARC/IATA/TRUE/CLIA number when making a booking. If you give your ARC/IATA/TRUE/CLIA number, the booking will not be credited to your account with Hotelrewards.com and we cannot give you any commissions. We do not recommend booking by phone since HotelRewards.com is designed for booking hotels online.

How do I pay for the hotel?
All reservations are prepaid using a charge/credit card for the room plus tax recovery fees. The actual card billing address is required for security during the booking process so if you are using your client's credit card, you will need their billing information. The name on the card and the guest's name do not need to match.

Which credit cards are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover.

How can I be sure that the credit card information is secure?
We have the utmost respect for your privacy and security and never divulge any information in our fully encrypted database account to anyone without your consent. Once you enter the reservations system to book a room, you are automatically directed into a secure booking engine that guarantees a safe and smooth transaction. You can be confident about the Internet security provided by Netscape's Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL). The security features built into Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, and AOL, protect your Internet communications with server authentication, privacy encryption, and data integrity.

What if I have a special request for the room?
Requests for smoking/non smoking rooms, specific bedding, and types of rooms can be made at the time of booking. Room types are typically confirmed, and smoking preferences are noted in the reservation, but are on request with the hotel and based upon availability upon check in.

What if I need to review, change, or cancel my reservation?
Go to View/Cancel Reservation at the bottom of the HotelRewards homepage to view existing reservations, make any changes, or to cancel a reservation. You will need your itinerary number (from the confirmation e-mail you received) and your e-mail address. Please note once your client has checked out, the reservation will not come up in the system. You can also call 800-780-5733 (24 hours a day/7 days a week) to change or cancel a reservation. Please remember to give your discount code when calling. If the reservation is changed and your discount code is not recorded, the booking will not be credited to your HotelRewards account and we cannot pay you any commission.

Cancel a reservation by calling 800-780-5733, and we won't charge you any penalty.

Please note you may still be subject to cancellation fees that the hotels impose and require us to pass on. The easiest way to find this information is on the Room and Rates Tab of the individual property. You can also find the change and cancellation policy while making the reservation. The easiest way to find the change and cancellation policy for the hotel room you've reserved is to consult your confirmation email.

Does HotelRewards have a consumer booking-engine that can be used on our travel agency web site?
No. HotelRewards lets travel agents book Hotels.com inventory for their clients and get paid 10% commission for every online booking, but the inventory is the same as what is available on the consumer hotel booking web site Hotels.com. Therefore, we can not offer a consumer booking engine for your web site.

What if I need more help?
For questions or changes to a reservation, please click here or call 1-800-780-5733 (24 hours a day/7 days a week). You will need your client's name, phone number and billing information to confirm or change a reservation. If you make changes to your reservation by phone, be sure your discount code is recorded.
