When you register an account with HotelRewards you are assigned a unique 6 digit identifier called a “HotelRewards Discount Code”. This code is automatically credited to every hotel booking confirmed on www.hotelrewards.com while logged into your account. This allows us to track your confirmed bookings and earned commissions.

Your HotelRewards Discount Code will appear to the right side of your name at the top of the page, after logging into your account. It is also listed under the PROFILE section of your online account.

We pay 10% commission on the base rate of all consumed bookings made online through www.hotelrewards.com. We pay 5% commission on the base rate of all consumed bookings made offline (for example, by phone) ONLY when your HotelRewards Discount Code has been credited to the offline reservation. For further information regarding offline reservations, please see “How do I book a hotel offline (over the phone) for 5% commission?”

Commissions are processed and mailed at the end of the next month following the check out date of all consumed bookings. For example, if you book a reservation in March for travel April 15-20, the commission will be included in your May commission check. All commission checks are processed and mailed at the end of the month.

Commissions are paid in US dollars, issued in the form of a check that is processed and mailed according to the information as it appears on your Account Profile. All HotelRewards Commission Checks are issued from our parent company, Travel Tribe LLC.

As of March 2012, a minimum earned commission amount of $25 is required in order for a payment to be processed. If during any given month less than $25 is earned, the funds will be carried and paid out on your next payment.

In order to view a complete list of earned commissions that have been processed and mailed since joining HotelRewards, please log into your HotelRewards Account and click on the link located beneath the COMMISSION HISTORY section (on the right hand side of the page). This report will include all earned commission where checks have been issued. It will not show commissions that are still owed to you for pending reservations.

To view your existing Account Profile, please log into your HotelRewards Account and click on the PROFILE link located at the top of the page. Please be aware that commissions are processed and mailed according to the information as it appears on your Account Profile. For this reason it is important to keep this information up to date.

Please be aware that you may be required to supply a new W9 tax identification form when attempting to change select fields on your Account Profile.

Yes! Any travel agent can register, book, and earn commission with HotelRewards. When signing up, please use the drop down menus on our registration form to select your Country and State/Province. Your commission checks will be mailed to the exact address as it is reflected on this form. Please note, payments may require additional time to reach you.

  • Visit www.hotelrewards.com and login using your registered email address and password.
  • Select a City, Arrival/Departure Dates, and Number of Rooms & Guests.
  • Click the SEARCH button to view available properties.
  • You can either “select” a hotel to begin the reservation process; or view properties by types and amenities, compare up to three properties side by side, or view the search results on a map.
  • Select the Room & Rate button to begin booking the property or review the property description, photos, take a virtual tour or see area attractions near the property.
  • Choose the room and click "Book Now".
  • Review the reservation information in the box on the right to make sure everything is correct.
  • In the guest information section, enter YOUR email address (so you will receive the confirmation e-mail) but your client's name, address and billing information . Click “Next” to fill in the payment, billing and address information.
  • Review the Cancellation Policy thoroughly, check the Terms & Conditions box and click the “Book Reservation” button to complete your reservation.
  • Check your email for a booking confirmation email. A copy of the client friendly confirmation can be provided to the guests and allow you to keep a copy for your own records.

To book an offline reservation, please call 1-800-637-5044 and select service option 1. Before reaching a live representative you will hear an automated call prompt that requests you dial in your HotelRewards Discount Code. Please be sure to manually dial in your HotelRewards Discount Code during this prompt to ensure that you receive credit for commission – credit CANNOT be applied by dialing in your ARC/IATA/TRUE/CLIA number. If you do not know your HotelRewards Discount Code, please hang up and visit the PROFILE section of your account or contact a HotelRewards Travel Agent Support Representative (support@hotelrewards.com | 1-866-211-8883).

Please be aware that offline reservations are managed on behalf of HotelRewards by representatives an affiliate network. Although affiliate call center representatives can assist you to make a reservation, they cannot credit your account for 5% commission or give you information regarding your HotelRewards account, bookings, or commission. Representatives from this department work on behalf of many affiliate members (not just HotelRewards) so you must claim the booking as a HotelRewards Reservation by dialing in your HotelRewards Discount Code during the call prompt.

All reservations are prepaid using a charge/credit card for the cost of the room plus tax recovery fees. The actual billing address of the card holder is required for security during the booking process. If you are using your client’s credit card, you will need their billing information. The name on the card and the guest’s name do not need to match.

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and Airplus.

Online Bookings – the reservation confirmation will be sent to the email address entered during the two step booking process, not the email address registered to your HotelRewards Account. We suggest that you enter YOUR email address during the booking process to ensure that you receive the electronic reservation confirmation. This will allow you to forward a copy of the confirmation to the guest while maintaining the original email for your records.

Offline Bookings – the reservation confirmation will be sent to the email address provided to the affiliate call center representative at the time of booking by phone. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of booking, please call 1-800-637-5044 to request that the confirmation be resent.

All reservation confirmations are client friendly, meaning there are no references to your HotelRewards Account or commissions on the document. If you have questions about commissions related to a specific reservation, please feel free to contact the HotelRewards Travel Agent Support Department (support@hotelrewards.com | 1-866-211-8883).

No, all changes to existing reservations must be handled by contacting our Affiliate Reservations Support Department at 1-800-637-5044 – selecting service option 2. Please be sure to manually dial in your HotelRewards Discount Code during the initial call prompt to credit the modified reservation to your HotelRewards Account. A representative from that department can then assist you by contacting the hotel directly to approve the requested change for the prepaid reservation. Based on the hotel’s approval, the Affiliate Reservations Support Representative will apply the requested change and issue you a revised email confirmation reflecting the new booking details.

Please be aware that Affiliate Reservations Support Representatives are not HotelRewards Travel Agent Support Representatives. These representatives cannot provide you with information regarding your HotelRewards Account or commissions. To retrieve a copy of an existing reservation confirmation online, please log into your HotelRewards Account and click the link located under the “View Existing Reservation” section. You will be required to enter the booking’s 8 digit HotelRewards Itinerary Number and the email address entered at the time of booking (not the email address used to log into your account). With this information, a copy of the booking confirmation will be generated. You may review the existing booking details and will also have an option to cancel the booking using this feature.

Our “duplicate booking” message is generated whenever you book the same hotel, for the same travel dates, as an existing reservation confirmed under your HotelRewards Account. Our system will recognize that you have an existing reservation confirmed for the hotel and travel dates selected, but it will not recognize that this may be for different clients. The message is generated to require you to take one additional step to review the booking details before finalizing the reservation request. If you approve of the “duplicate” booking, please check the authorization box and review the booking details one additional time before finalizing the reservation.

No, your client is only required to present their photo ID at the time of check in to verify their prepaid hotel stay. HotelRewards booking confirmations reflect itinerary and confirmation numbers specific to HotelRewards.com. These booking numbers will not appear in a hotel’s central reservations system, as each hotel translates the booking details of an existing/prepaid reservation in order to fit their system.

In the event a hotel is unable to verify a prepaid HotelRewards reservation (prior to, or at the time of, check in) please contact a representative from our Affiliate Reservations Support Department by calling 1-800-637-5044 – selecting service option 4. Representatives from this department work on behalf of HotelRewards in order to assist our members to verify prepaid bookings. A representative will immediately contact the hotel to assist them in verifying the third party booking in their system.

Please be aware that Affiliate Reservations Support Representatives are not HotelRewards Travel Agent Support Representatives. These representatives cannot provide you with information regarding your HotelRewards Account or commissions. HotelRewards offers a Low Price Guarantee on all of our special internet rated inventory. If at any time, you find that your existing reservation is being offered at a lower rate (for the same travel dates and room type), you may complete our Low Price Guarantee Form. This form will include the details of your existing reservation and the booking channel where the lower rate is offered (on our website or by an alternate provider). The form must be submitted prior to the existing reservation’s cancellation deadline. The form will be reviewed by our Affiliate Reservations Support Department within 48 at which time you will receive an email indicating whether a refund can be issued for the difference in room rates.

In order to access the Low Price Guarantee Form, please contact a representative from the HotelRewards Travel Agent Support Department (support@hotelrewards.com | 1-866-211-8883). You will be provided with a link to access the form that is specially coded to your HotelRewards Account. The link should not be shared with other HotelRewards Members or outside travel agents.

HotelRewards is owned by Travalliance, a leading travel publishing company which also owns Agent@Home Magazine, VacationAgent Magazine, TravelPulse.com, TravelAgentAcademy.com, and many more travel agent related products. Our affiliate relationship with Expedia.com allows us to offer our audience an extensive online inventory of hotels. Please note, this affiliate relationship does not allow HotelRewards to pay commission on reservations made outside of HotelRewards.com.

HotelRewards gives you access to three specialized support departments to ensure you receive the proper assistance for all of your questions, concerns, and needs. Please be aware that some of these departments are managed by representatives of an outside/affiliate company, so it is important that you understand which department to contact for help and how to communicate with support representatives to properly maintain your bookings, commissions, and account.

Representatives from this department can assist you with general reservations issues only– such as modifying an existing reservation, submitting a special request or guest name change, requesting/verifying a refund, confirming a prepaid HotelRewards booking with a hotel, etc. Please be sure to manually dial in your HotelRewards Discount Code during the initial call prompt in order for your account to be tracked against the call. Representatives from this department work on behalf of many affiliate members (not just HotelRewards), so they are unable to provide information regarding your HotelRewards Account or commissions.

Representatives from this department can assist you to book offline reservations that are eligible for 5 % commission. In order to claim credit for commission, you are required to manually dial in your HotelRewards Discount Code during the initial call prompt, before reaching a live representative. Representatives from this department work on behalf of many affiliate members (not just HotelRewards), so they do not have the ability to credit your HotelRewards Account for commission, or provide information regarding your account.
